Year C : Day 3

Daily Readings Photo by Ricardo Cruz on Unsplash      Nehemiah 9:26-31 But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. they killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you; they comitted awful blasphemies. So you delivered them into the hands of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies. But as soon as they were at rest, they again did what was evil in your sight. Then you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies so that they ruled over them. And when they cried out to you again, you heard from heaven, and in your compassion you delivered them time after time. You warned them in order to turn them back to your law, but they became arrogant and disobeyed your commands. They sinned against your ordinances, of which you said...

Year C : Day 2

Daily Readings Photo by Sunguk Kim on Unsplash      Nehemiah 9:16-25 But they, our ancestors, became arrogant and stiff-necked, and they did not obey your commands. they refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for the...

Year C : Day 1

Readings for the Day      Photo by Patrick Fore on Unsplash      Psalm 25:1-10 In you, LORD my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to yoru love remember me, for you, LORD, are good. Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.      Nehemiah 9:6-15 You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens,...
